Has it really been over a month since I have updated this site?

At any rate, things are great here. Kellye, thanks for the baby clothes and maternity clothes! We are set! We had a sonogram and it was neat seeing the baby on the screen. We didn’t find out what it was. (I will be posting a new contest soon where you guess the delivery date and time, baby’s sex, weight, length, etc. Keep your eyes posted for it!) The sonogram showed that everything is okay with the baby, but that Jen has placenta previa. That means the placenta is covering the cervix. I will post some information on this shortly. It is pretty scary, but it occurs once in every 250 pregnancies so it should be okay.

Thanksgiving was great! We went down to Tucson and spent the weekend with Mom, Dad and Karleen. We had a great time and enjoyed the warm weather. Mom is still an excellent cook – I had forgotten how much I missed her stuffing!

I am still hoping that you dudes and dudettes would send me some stuff to put on the website. I feel badly for not updating in over a month, but I need stuff to update the site with!! I have been working on a fan site for a computer game that is coming out in March. I update that site four or five times a week. (If you want to check it out, here is the link: Tropico. I used the same format of the family site and have received some great feedback. The site gets about 300 hits a day right now, and the game won’t be released until March!! It has been viewed by people in about 30 different countries. Crazy....) I want to work on websites for the experience, but it doesn’t seem like anyone really cares about this family site. If you dudes would send me one major update once a month, spread out over the month, this site could be updated regularly with great information!

Just wanted to give you all an update of my 30th birthday. It was pretty neat. I had my first ever surprise birthday party (and boy was I surprised! I had no clue...). Jen put it all together. I came home from a football game on Saturday and opened the door and to my surprise -- the house was decorated with streamers and balloons. Three couples were there. It was so neat. We ate pizza and snacks and for dessert we had Jen's famous mud pie. We played games and I opened a few presents. I really have an awesome wife. My actual birthday was nice, too. We got yummy wings and just hung out. Almost everyone remembered to! I won't mention which of my sisters forgot because I wouldn't want to embarrass her, but I will say that you can check the calendar periodically so it won't happen in the future.

Jen had a blood test yesterday. They take her blood and look for various problems (spina bifada, Down's, etc.) We get the results next Friday. Also, we are in a position soon to decide if we want to know the sex of the baby. I don't want to know, but Jen does. I figure neither one of us cares if it is a boy or a girl, so why do we need to know. Jen says we need to start planning (making blankets, etc.) and we need to know. We will probably find out. For names, we are thinking of Jakob Hugh if it's a boy and Katelyn if it's a girl. This may change though!

Karleen was kind enough to send me an update of her life. Here it is:

Thanks for the replacement photo. Can you believe that was me almost 6 years ago?! I'm really getting old! I like your "HUSBAND" link too......."No winners yet. Check back soon." Not too many guys entering that contest these days, or at least not too many guys qualifying to enter.

You asked me for an update.....Really there's not much of an update on my life. I've just been working on my "test engineering" projects at work and taking an electrical engineering class at ASU. I have one more deficiency course after this, and then I can start taking classes in the masters program. I'm not exactly sure if I will pursue a masters in this field or not. I haven't decided yet.

I've been working out a lot, trying to train for a triathalon in Case Grande in November, and then another one next April. I want to run in this 5K "stair climb" race this weekend in Bisbee, but no one will venture to do it with me. I need to find myself a man who likes to do those kinds of things. That might earn him some extra points in the contest.

Anyways, I'm also learning to play the guitar - just teaching myself really, but I'm getting pretty good. I don't do a whole lot of "picking" yet, just "strumming", but I already know several songs. It's fun.

Hmmmm.........what else can I say? .......My dating life is not really worth mentioning at this point. I'm still trying to get over my whirlwind romance with Joe. Did you know he was getting ready to propose - he had a ring and everything! Oh well.....it just wasn't meant to happen. I'm no longer inviting divorced men to enter the contest......

I still live with all the same four girls - they are really what make my life fun. Mom always asks me when I'm gonna move out into my own place and live by myself. Why would I want to do that? Silly Mom.......That pretty much wraps it up for me. Did you ask everyone else to send you and update? I'm anxious to hear what's going on in everyone else's lives. Get on 'em!

Love ya ..................Kar

Hello everybody! I realized I haven’t updated this site in awhile. I am discouraged that no one is sending me information to post. Initially, the plan was for each of the family members to send me updates about what is going on in their lives. This could be anything from a recap of the week to a funny story to the cute things that the kids said. Please try to email me once a week and let me know what’s going on!

As for me, I had an eventful week. Last Friday, I went with Jen to her doctor’s appointment. I heard the baby’s heartbeat for the first time! It was AWESOME! It made it all so real that I am going to be a daddy! I can’t believe it. I am so anxious for the baby to just get here!! (So is Jen.) Jen feels much better now. She isn’t as sick, although she is still tired all the time. We had to buy her some maternity pants because she is starting to show. She is so cute!

Do you know any winners of the Wheel of Fortune Dot Com Sweepstakes? If you said no, you were lying! We got home and I opened this mysterious envelope and inside was a check for $100! Can you believe that? I don’t even remember entering. It was when Wheel of Fortune had a Dot Com promotion and you went to their website and solved a puzzle. I think Jen entered for me, but don’t tell her that or she will confiscate it! I told her that I needed it since I am turning 30 in a week and want to buy me a nice birthday present to cheer me up.

Karleen wanted everyone to know she really doesn’t look like she does in the photo below. To prove it I added a new photo of her. Check it out!

I just added a message board.

I thought it would be a cool way for us all to keep in touch. If you get a chance, check it out and leave a message!

WINNER of the CONTEST

Karleen was the big winner of the logic puzzle contest. She wins dinner with Kendahl and Jen at the restaurant of her choice (Taco Bell, I hope!) So far, she is the only family member to solve the puzzle. Amy McCormick, Jen's friend from White Rock, also solved the puzzle.

I added a five generation picture from Mom's family. It is pretty neat.
That's all for now!

Hello!

Things have been crazy at work. I worked over 70 hours last week and this week will be about 60. We had five volleyball games, including a tournament all day. Luckily, I am getting overtime and comp hours.

We got our pictures back from the sealing. They turned out pretty good considering the wind was a howlin'! I will scan some in and get them up on the website soon. I haven't had time to do much, but I did add a calendar, but all it has so far is September through December. I haven't looked at it using Netscape, so use Explorer if you have it. Also, check out the contest if you have time. It is pretty challenging. Also, Jen is famous! Check out this link: WINNER!

I will update this more if you slackers send me stuff!!
Love, Kendahl

Does anyone have Kendra's email address? I am trying to update as much as I can. Today I added an excerpt from Kristi's novel. Makes me excited for her to finish it! Check it out.

I have notified everyone of the website. I will be sending information sheets for you all to fill out.

Jen went to the doctor yesterday for the first time. I couldn't go with her this time because of work, but she got to hear the baby's heartbeat! She was so excited! She came into my office afterwards and she was literally glowing. She said she almost cried.

Here's a funny story: I wrote a press release announcing the new assistant coach. He is Joe Acker's son (Joe Acker is Marana High School's men's basketball coach). Anyway, I wrote about his experience coaching, which includes a stint at the Arizona School for the Deaf and Blind. Anyway, I accidently replaced the f in deaf for a d and the secretary here read the article on the website and said she wondered about a school for the Dead and Blind. She said she laughed for five minutes. Pretty funny stuff.

Hello Johnson family!

I have been saying for a long time that I want to make a website. I have finally started. This is in the very early stages of development, so be patient. Right now I am covering volleyball and soccer while assisting with football and preparing for women's basketball and wrestling. It is crazy!

Your help is necessary in making this venture a success. Please send me some items to post! Also, any ideas or suggestions you might have are definitely welcome!! I especially need a cool design for the title bar.

Love, Kendahl
